Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar has thanked health workers for their efforts in combating the spread of coronavirus.

Neymar returned these days to Brazil where he will continue to train at home, in quarantine.

In Brazil, one wonders exactly in which of the houses of its property, even if the more accredited hypothesis is that of Mangaratiba.

Moreover, the player has not yet responded to the club that is ready to renew his contract. The desire of the Parisian club is to have him at least until the World Cup in Qatar, where he is expected to be an image of the PSG.

O ney still does not answer.

3 Stories of Brazilian Players Escaping to Carnival

While tweets speculate if Neymar had found a suspension again just in time for the carnival in Rio de Janeiro, as he has been doing since 2015, we share three stories of Brazilian footballers escaping their clubs in Europe during decisive moments at this time of the year.

The most popular carnival parade in Brazil, the carnival in Rio is also known for half-naked and naked women dancing across the parades, so we understand why many Brazilian players get excited to go to Rio while they are also invited for many parades and VIP parties. Even Maradona couldn’t resist the temptation.

In 2019, Neymar had gone to Brazil claiming to recover from an injury at home but he miraculously recovered so fast to dance down the floor all night long during the carnival in Rio before returning to Paris to see PSG being eliminated from the Champions League by Manchester United at Parc des Prince. Such behavior brought him up harsh criticisms from the media and fans around the world.

Edmundo’s most famous carnival story has become football folklore in Brazil and a bad memory for Fiorentina’s fans. In 1999, he flew from Italy while the club had an important match against Udinese for La Serie A on the same day he would join a carnival parade in Rio.

Fiorentina lost the first match out of a sequence of defeats that cost the scudetto and Edmundo’s permanence at the club. He had also become famous for an extra-marital son out of a carnival hook up with a top model.

Another Brazilian player famous for enjoying parties and the nightlife surrounded by women, Romário has always been known for his aversion for training and discipline.

When he played in Barcelona during the 1993-94 season, he even managed to negotiate with Johan Cruyff (who was Barça’s coach at that time) to liberate him for the 1994 carnival in Rio if he scored against Real Madrid. The deal was Romário getting one day-off for each goal scored, and he scored three for the 5×0 Barça’s victory.

Brazilian footballers scaping to the carnival will always be a source of polemics, revolted fans, coaches getting crazy, and some funny stories sometimes. For them, the season starts after the carnival or there is always a way to escape for the parties.
